When you are looking to become a civil servant and you would like the job you get to include the information on how the governments policies are mad and implemented, then you should start an IAS career path. This is how you will progress in this type of career and the responsibilities that you will have.

You will have to undergo a certain training once you are selected to for the IAS training. The foundation of your training will include some physical activities as well as learning the laws and policies. This will take a period of four months. You will then have to spend a few years under probation on a specific region of the country. During this time, you will be working with the government. After this, there is an examination on civil services that you are required to pass.

Joining the junior time scale salary range is the next point after you pass the civil service examination. You have to spend at least four years on this category in order to rice to the next rank. The next level is the senior time scale which pays more and also have bigger tittles. In this rank you will have to spend a minimum period of nine years. After this rank is the junior administrative grade where you get pay rice and additional responsibilities. You however, are required to posses several skills in order to rise in the different ranks. These skills include, leadership skills. Here are some of the things that you will be expected to deal with in the right manner. You will be required to properly represent the government and even sign agreements. You will also be required to carry out operations that involve different ministries. You may also have to learn new languages in case you have to work abroad. Sometimes you will find yourself working with different NGOS in your daily activities. You should be able to do a proper research on the articles that are available in the internet in order to ensure you have what it takes.
